Founded by Christopher Akinbuwa, Open Levels Gaming was created to break barriers in education by using the universal language of gaming. With nearly two decades of experience in schools, Christopher designed programs and original games like Invasion U.—a card game that introduces college opportunities to students of color. Open Levels Gaming partners with schools, aftercare programs, and summer camps to integrate literacy, math, and social-emotional learning into fun, competitive, and collaborative game-based experiences. Our mission is to show students that the skills they develop in play can open doors to careers in technology, education, and beyond.
