**What is Acorn Academy and how does it work?**

Acorn Academy is an educational and social-impact app designed to help children recognize, record, and celebrate everyday acts of kindness and responsibility. Our app offers a child-friendly space for kids to log their acts of service and kindness through writing or drawing. We also feature a unique virtual forest where kids can see their positive actions grow, reinforcing consistency and a sense of achievement. Guided by Heidi, our puppy mascot, we aim to make service accessible for kids through everyday actions.

**Who can benefit from using Acorn Academy?**

Our primary audiences are families with elementary and middle-school kids, educators, schools, youth-serving organizations, and community groups. The app is designed to suit both individual and group participation, making it a great tool for classrooms and youth groups. We're currently in the early stages and invite you to join our waitlist at https://acorn-academy.skipsites.com.

**How does Acorn Academy promote kindness and responsibility among kids?**

Acorn Academy encourages kids to record their acts of kindness and responsibility, allowing them to see the impact of their positive actions in a virtual forest that grows over time. We also provide kindness idea prompts that are age-appropriate and relevant to different settings - home, community, and environment. These features, along with our friendly mascot guide Heidi, provide positive reinforcement and encourage a habit of regular acts of service.
