**What services does BrightBorn offer?**

BrightBorn offers two distinct services. The first is Root & Dwell Research, a professional genealogy research service for families who want to delve into their history. Our researchers use various databases and follow the Genealogical Proof Standard to provide a thorough and honest documentation of your family history. The second service is The Familiars Guild, a ledger of remembrance for beloved animals, providing a permanent record of their existence and significance in your life.

**How does BrightBorn's Root & Dwell Research service work?**

Once engaged, our researcher starts tracing your family history across multiple record types, countries, and eras. We utilize resources like Ancestry All Access, Fold3, and Newspapers.com, which most people cannot access or navigate on their own. From census records to military service records and newspaper archives, we follow every thread. The research is sold, not the results, meaning we guarantee thoroughness, honest documentation, and clear communication throughout the process.

**What is the pricing for Root & Dwell Research services?**

The pricing for our Root & Dwell Research service is based on blocks of time. The minimum research hour costs $50, payable upfront. We also have packages including a Starter Block of 5 hours for $250, a Standard Block of 10 hours for $500, and an Extended Block of 20 hours for $1,000. For each block, a 50% deposit is required before work begins, with the remaining 50% due on delivery.

**What is The Familiars Guild service?**

The Familiars Guild is a special remembrance ledger for your beloved animals. It includes the animal’s name, dates, and species, a line of remembrance, and a permanent record in both the physical ledger and the digital archive. This service is dedicated to honoring the memory of any family pet, acknowledging the significant role they played in your life.

**What is the pricing for The Familiars Guild services?**

Entry into The Familiars Guild ledger costs $15. If you would also like a printed memorial certificate suitable for framing, the cost is $40. This service is available for anyone who has lost an animal they loved and wants to honor their memory.
