Providing dance education, vintage apparel and performance opportunities.
The Negus Ballerina Project, founded by Cortney Taylor Key, celebrates and uplifts Black ballerinas by merging artistry, history, and community care. Through limited-edition merchandise, monthly pointe shoe micro-grants, and storytelling, it preserves legacy while creating access. Honoring pioneers like Lydia Abarca Mitchell, the project turns history into empowerment and ensures dancers of color are seen, supported, and celebrated.
