An initial vehicle assessment is essentially triage for the vehicle. We ask the customer their primary concern then spend an hour inspecting and diagnosing the vehicle. This service often includes a check engine light scan, brake and suspension inspection, tire and rim inspection, frame and supporting subframe inspection. A majority of times the root cause for the complaint can be discerned within the hour and a plan for correction can be made. There are instances for complicated diagnosis that require performing multiple test and test verification procedures. The stigma in the industry is these tests are just a way to generate more income. That is 100% the truth but not in the way you think. A fast, and correct diagnosis minimizes downtime and unnecessary parts and labor charges. This efficiency is what equates to higher revenue.
