Fuel Within
The fuel that drives me day after day is painting. Being able to create and hopefully have someone love my art is what makes me get out of bed every morning and paint late into the night. Even when life is busy and other things are going around me I still am driven to paint. Fuel Within is an abstract painting diving into my emotional and physical need to paint. I use broad, gestural strokes that sweep across the canvas in layered motions using a rich blend of blues and teals to give the impression of the fueled movement that drives me to paint and make art. Painting is my meditative and emotional release, it allows me to pause, reflect and connect with my inner drive. I hope you have a fuel within you that drives you to live life and be happy. Inner Dreams
As an artist I am always thinking of what my next painting will be. Inner Dreams is my perspective into my inner thoughts and dreams as an artist and as a human. I paint as if it is an emotional dance between control and spontaneity, moving forward, fighting against the struggles of everyday life. I use broad, expressive strokes to create a layered painting to symbolize the layered thoughts and dreams in my mind. The colors blend and clash with visceral intensity, creating an almost rhythmic pattern, as if Inner Dreamspulses with its own heartbeat. San Antonio Friendship
San Antonio Friendship is my latest painting added to my City Skyline series. In the foreground there is the Torch of Friendship, a symbol of friendship between the US and Mexico and in the background the iconic Tower of Americas. I am walking distance to both so it is only natural for me to include these in a painting and wanted to share what I see on a regular basis.
