**What is the mission of Footing?**

Footing's core mission is to help individuals maintain orientation, continuity, procedural clarity, and defensible records when reality becomes fragmented, emotionally overloaded, socially contested, or institutionally compressed. It does this by providing a human-centered documentation, orientation, and reality-stabilization platform for people navigating high-conflict or cognitively destabilizing environments.

**What does Footing offer?**

Footing offers a structured reality-stabilization system, a documentation framework, a cognitive externalization tool, a procedural clarity system, a continuity preservation platform, and an orientation tool for high-pressure environments. It is designed to help users convert fragmented lived experience into a coherent, structured, reviewable reality without descending into emotional chaos, institutional overwhelm, or narrative distortion.

**What is Footing not?**

Footing is not a revenge platform, a paranoia engine, a drama archive, a gossip system, a surveillance product, a “gotcha” machine, a legal advice platform, or an outrage amplifier. It is designed to promote calm, grounded, trustworthy, intelligent, emotionally stabilizing, psychologically aware, procedurally credible, cognitively lightweight, and elegant experiences under pressure.

**What are the key features of Footing?**

Footing offers features such as timeline generation, incident entry systems, contemporaneous note capture, communication logging, AI-assisted summarization, evidence attachment and tagging, contradiction detection, timeline gap identification, procedural checklists, and more. These features aim to help users organize events coherently, clarify timelines, separate claims from evidence, reduce ambiguity, improve communication clarity, and assist with procedural organization.

**What are the core principles of Footing's user experience (UX)?**

Footing's UX principles aim to reduce cognitive load, minimize overwhelm, prevent chaotic information dumping, encourage structured thinking, convert emotional narratives into procedural clarity, make timelines visually understandable, preserve nuance without becoming unreadable, allow uncertainty to remain visible, and make evidence attachment frictionless. The platform is designed with users under emotional stress in mind.
