Megneon is on a mission to build the world's first plasma battery to provide affordable, sustainable, high-capacity backup power for homes, electric vehicles, and critical infrastructure. **What is the Plasma battery and how does it work?**

The Plasma battery is a clean energy storage concept that we are currently developing. It is designed to avoid the use of toxic materials like lithium and cobalt that are commonly found in traditional batteries. **How can the Plasma battery be used as a backup power source?**

Our Plasma battery is being developed with the aim to support whole-home backup power for approximately 1–7 days depending on the configuration. It can also back up a refrigerator for approximately the same duration. Our MVP target is a 2.5 kWh battery backup designed to power a refrigerator for ~24 hours.

Megneon's Plasma battery is a safer, cleaner, and more sustainable alternative to traditional generators and lithium-ion batteries. Unlike gas generators, our Plasma battery is safe for indoor use as it does not produce any exhaust. Compared to lithium-ion batteries, our product avoids the use of toxic materials like lithium and cobalt.

Charging this device will be as simple as plugging it in, and you will be able to store it indoors or outdoors as you please. It will be about the size and shape of other batteries with similar capacity.
