AI-powered tools to practice and improve real-world communication and growth

I thought AI would build my app for me. Three prototypes and more than $1,000 later, I learned what “vibe coding” ads leave out.
This is a practical guide for non-developers who want to build a real app with AI without blindly burning through time and money.
I walk through what actually happened while I built three prototypes, what I spent money on, where AI helped, where it didn't, and the technical stuff I wish I'd understood before starting.
You'll get plain-English explanations of GitHub, databases, authentication, APIs, hosting and deployment, plus budgeting tools, readiness checks, a pre-build plan, feature-creep guardrails and lessons from my own mistakes.
I'm not a software engineer selling you a shortcut to millions. I'm a non-developer still building and learning. This is the guide I wish I'd had before I spent my first $500.
