After two decades in Hollywood, I landed in Newberry, SC, and discovered a town full of untold stories and creative potential just waiting to be realized. Newberry Filmwerks is a Black and veteran-owned media company dedicated to transforming local voices into cinematic experiences that inspire, empower, and ignite community pride. From revitalizing landmarks like The MTD Arthouse Theater (helping a widow-owned business thrive) to creating high-impact commercials that drive real growth for local brands, we specialize in video production, drone cinematography, documentary storytelling, and digital brand campaigns. Our mission is more than business—it's about mentorship, job training for local youth, and using the power of media to rewrite Newberry’s future. Through YouTube content, the “40 for Fathers” podcast, and original series like “The Storm Warriors,” we share stories that uplift our community and put Newberry back on the map. At Newberry Filmwerks, every frame is a chance to shape what’s next—for our neighbors, for our businesses, and for the legacy of our hometown.
