    About

Northwest Dog Rescue & Service Training Center is built on second chances—for both people and dogs. Our co-founder Jason’s rescue dog, Monkey, became the heart of our journey: rescued during Jason’s toughest chapter, trained by him to help Donna (who is hearing impaired), and now a true family member and symbol of our mission. Donna Pence leads our ASL outreach, connecting families and clients who communicate through sign language and ensuring our training center is truly inclusive. Our Recovery-to-Rescue program empowers people in addiction recovery, offering purpose-driven job training through caring for and training rescued dogs. We recently launched our website (pnwhearingdogs.com), published the fundraising poetry book “Echoes of the Heart,” and are actively fundraising for our permanent facility. Every step, every story—from Monkey’s service work to Donna’s advocacy and our campaign to build a home for healing—brings us closer to a stronger, kinder community. Rescuing futures. Restoring dignity. One dog and one person at a time.
