At Operation Teammate, we know that behind every uniform is a family, and at the heart of that family is a child whose resilience is the silent engine of our national security. This April, we are proud to join the nation in celebrating the Month of the Military Child, following the 2026 theme: "Military Children and Youth: Strength in Every Story."

As we look toward our 10th year of service, we aren't just telling stories—we are changing them.

The Challenges They Face:
For most children, "home" is a constant. For the military child, "home" is a moving target. By the time the average military student graduates high school, they will have moved 6 to 9 times. 
Since 2001, nearly 2 million children have navigated the "empty chair" at the dinner table during a parental deployment.

Operation Teammate

Operation Teammate provides a solution to the emotional strain on military children associated with family separations. By providing our sporting experiences through impactful athlete interaction, Operation Teammate helps to ease the pain associated with these extreme separations.
