The TCOLE 89th Legislative Update (#3189) is designed to provide Texas law enforcement professionals with a comprehensive overview of significant legislative, procedural, and legal updates impacting policing operations, compliance, and public safety responsibilities across the state. This course examines recent changes to Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) rules and policies, critical United States Supreme Court (SCOTUS) decisions, and emerging case law that directly affects law enforcement practices and officer decision-making.  

Participants will receive in-depth instruction on updates to the Texas Penal Code, Code of Criminal Procedure, Transportation Code, Health and Safety Code, school safety legislation, and other miscellaneous statutes impacting law enforcement agencies, jail operations, and public safety personnel.
