**What is Square One and what services does it provide?**

Square One is a tax deed surplus or overage recovery service that helps individuals reclaim surplus funds they may be owed after a property was sold through a tax deed or a similar tax sale process. Our key offerings include end-to-end guidance through the surplus recovery process, eligibility pre-check via a Free Case Review, and providing a document checklist and next-step guidance.

**How can I request a Free Case Review from Square One?**

You can request a Free Case Review by filling out a form at our specific URL. If the URL is not available, you can email us at xtlstar@outlook.com with the necessary information and we will follow up within 1–2 business days.

**What information do I need to provide for a Free Case Review?**

For a Free Case Review, please provide your full name, best email address, and phone number (optional). We also need to know the state and county where the property was located, the property address (optional but helpful), the approximate tax sale or auction date (if known), whether you were the owner, heir, or representative, and a short description of what happened.

**What is Square One's approach and how is it different from others?**

We lead with empathy and plain language, simplifying complex paperwork and processes. We focus on educating our clients and taking action, rather than overwhelming them with jargon. We also prioritize the values of integrity, compassion, and clarity in our service.

**Does Square One provide legal advice?**

No, Square One is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. We provide general educational information and encourage a Free Case Review for case-specific guidance.

Schedule a focused conversation to explore your goals, assess fit, and uncover how Xtlstar can best support your next steps.
