1. Go to the New Mexico DMV car registration website
2. Select Renew Vehicle Registration and Express or Traditional Registration Renewal
3. Type in the last 4 digits of your Vehicle ID Number, Plate Number and Zip Code
4. Pay the amount the system shows you

To submit your New Mexico registration renewal by mail or in person, you will need:

1. Your registration renewal notice from the NM MVD
2. DO NOT highlight the document—the MVD will reject it
3. Payment the fees
