Today, we submitted a letter to SBA Administrator Isabel Guzman with three important recommendations on how to make improvements for the EIDL Advances and EIDL loan increases.
We've copied the full text of the letters below which is based on the feedback from tens of thousands of small business owners who are relying on the SBA for critical business funding and support.
Supporting Increased Transparency and Efficiency in EIDL Loan and Grants
Since Administrator Guzman took over as SBA Administrator in March 2021, there have been several important policy changes and communications improvements. However, there is still much that can be improved upon.
As we outlined in our EIDLLoanIncrease.com petition, most business owners are still waiting for their EIDL loan increase and most business owners do not qualify for the Targeted EIDL grants.
Our recommended changes include hiring more loan officers, sharing more weekly data on approvals and pending approvals, and working with Congress to modify legislation regarding EIDL Grant eligibility.
