State-by-State Grants List
Alabama Grants
Loans of Up to $100,000: Small businesses in the Southeastern U.S. (including Alabama) can apply for loans of $100,000 from the Southern Opportunity And Resilience (SOAR) fund. To be eligible, businesses must have 50 or fewer full-time employees. Applications aren't open yet, but you can learn more about the program and application requirements here.

Arizona Grants
Grants for Restaurants and Other Businesses: Arizona has grants for small business owners in the restaurant industry and other hard-hit industries. Learn more or apply here.
Phoenix Grants Up to $10,000: Small businesses with five or fewer employees in Phoenix, AZ owned by low- or moderate-income people can qualify for $10,000 grants through the Phoenix RISE Microbusiness grant. Applications are open, and will be accepted on a rolling basis as long as funding is available 9 total of $2 million will be distributed). Learn more and apply here.
Arkansas Grants
Loans of Up to $25,000: Small businesses in Arkansas employing between 2 and 50 people can receive loans of up to $25,000 for business expenses through Arkansas banks. Learn more about participating lenders here.
California Grants
State Grants Up to $25,000: Small businesses in California can receive between $5000 and $25,000 from the state through a relief grant program. The program will begin accepting applications for the second round of funding on February 2. Learn more about the application process here.
Los Angeles Loans: Los Angeles is now one of the global epicenters of the virus, with more than 1 million cases. To help small businesses survive the city’s current lockdown, the LA COVID Fund is opening up a loan program. Learn more and apply here.
Los Angeles Loans: Small businesses in Los Angeles County can qualify for loans of up to $3 million with a fixed interest rate of 3.25% from the Los Angeles County Development Authority. Applications are open until April 16th or until funds are exhausted; learn more and apply here.
San Francisco Grants: The city of San Francisco has grants available for businesses to arrange their storefronts for social distancing and purchase any equipment they might need to reopen safely. It's called the SF Shines program and you can learn more and apply here.
San Jose Grants Up to $5,000: Small businesses located in East San Jose, California with five or fewer employees can qualify for grants of up to $5000 through the East San Jose COVID Relief fund, launched by San Jose commissioner Ronaldo Bonilla. Learn more about the fund and apply here.
Marin County Grants Up to $10,000: Marin County, CA is making nearly $1 million in grants and loans available for small businesses. Businesses will be able to qualify for $50,000 loans or $10,000 grants. In total, $800,000 in loans and $115,000 in grants will be distributed. Applications will be opened Monday February 22, and funds will be distributed through the organization Mission Economic Development Agency. West Hollywood Grants Up to $5,000: Small Businesses in West Hollywood, CA (near Los Angeles) can apply for grants of up to $5000 from the city. The application portal closes February 25th. Learn more and apply here.
Newport Beach Grants Up to $5,000: Small Businesses in Newport Beach, CA, in Orange County, can apply for grants of up to $5000 from the city. Learn more and apply here.
Oakland Grants Up to $10,000: Fintech company Fiserv has partnered with the Association for Enterprise Opportunity to offer $10,000 grants for minority-owned small businesses in Oakland, Milwaukee, Chicago and New York through a program called Back 2 Business. Deadlines for New York, Milwaukee and Chicago are February 26th, and the deadline for Oakland is March 8th. Learn more and apply here.
Colorado Grants
Grants Up to $500,000: Colorado will be providing grants of up to $500,000 for small businesses with 5-99 employees over the next two years through the CLIMBER (Colorado Loans to Increase Main Street Business Economic Recovery) fund, which has $250 million total in capital. Applications for the CLIMBER fund aren't open yet, but you can learn more and sign up for email updates here.
Denver Wage Subsidy Up to $5,000: Businesses in Denver that hire new, full-time employees can qualify for a $5,000 wage subsidy to offset the costs of training, recruiting and hiring new employees. You can learn more and apply for the subsidy here.
Loans of Up to $50,000: Entrepreneurs in Colorado can qualify for microloans of up to $50,000 from the state. Businesses in rural areas are prioritized, but any business based in Colorado can apply. You can learn more and apply here.
Connecticut Grants
Grants Up to $250,000: Small businesses in Connecticut and Rhode Island can qualify for Community Advantage Grants, an SBA pilot program, for up to $250,000 through the Community Investment Corporation. Learn more and apply here.
Grants Up to $10,000 for Women-Owned Businesses: The Women's Business Development Council in Connecticut has launched a program to provide grants of up to $10,000 (minimum grants of $2500) to women- and minority- owned businesses in the state that have been impacted by the pandemic. Applications close February 15th. Learn more and apply here.
Delaware Grants
Grants of $100,000 for Startups: Delaware provides grants for small businesses with 10 employees or fewer through its EDGE grant program, which is designed to help Delaware-based companies grow. STEM-based businesses can qualify for $100,000 in funding, while entrepreneur-based, non-STEM companies can receive up to $50,000. The grants can be used toward business expenses like marketing or advertising, rent, and equipment. The application portal for this round closes February 28th. Learn more and apply here.
Grants for Businesses: Delaware is distributing nearly $200 million in grants to small businesses struggling during the crisis. Learn more and apply here.
Florida Grants
Miami Grants Up to $2,500: Miami's Mom and Pop Small Business Grant program provides grants of up to $2,500 for small businesses in certain districts of Miami-Dade county. Florida. Application deadlines vary by district, but the latest deadlines are all before the end of February. Check your district's requirements and apply here.
Tallahassee Grants Up to $50,000: The FAMU Credit Union has partnered with the county of Leon, FL (where Tallahassee is located), to provide grants of up to $50,000 to qualifying small business owners who have been impacted by the pandemic. You can learn more about the program and apply here.
Tallahassee Loans of Up to $100,000: Small businesses in Tallahassee-Leon County can qualify for loans of up to $100,000 through the area's REVIVE! Loan fund. Loans range from $5,000 to $100,000, with the average loan being $25,000. Loans can be used for business expenses, professional services and more. Learn more and apply for the program here.
Georgia Grants
Atlanta Grants up to $10,000 for Black-owned Businesses: For Georgia Black-owned businesses located in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area (home to about half the state's population), there are grants of between $5,000 and $10,000 available through Atlanta's Restore ATL grant program. To qualify, a business must be both Black-owned and employ less than 100 employees. Applications for Restore ATL are open and close February 10th; learn more and apply here.
Atlanta Grants Up to $10,000 for Minority-owned Businesses: Certain minority-owned businesses in Chicago, Houston, Atlanta and Philadelphia can apply for $10,000 grants from Comcast through the Comcast RISE program. Illinois Grants
Low Interest-Rate Loans and Grants: Regional and community banks in Illinois are distributing low-interest loans to businesses in need. Learn more about participating banks and the application process here.
Grants of up to $25,000, Select Locations: Grants of up to $25,000 are also available for small businesses in downstate and rural Illinois. Learn more and apply here.
West Chicago Grants up to $5,000 for Minority-Owned Businesses: The Chicago Blackhawks hockey team has launched a grant program for minority-owned businesses in West Chicago. Businesses will be able to qualify for up to $5000 in grants. Learn more and apply for the funds here.

Iowa Grants
$10,000 Grants for Businesses in Sioux City: Small businesses in Sioux City, Iowa can apply for $10,000 grants from the city. To qualify, a business must have 50 or fewer employees and 51% of their employees must be low- or moderate-income (earning less than $42,000 per year). Applications close March 19th. Grants for Bars and Restaurants: Iowa has a grant program for bars and restaurants opening on February 1, and applications will be available until February 15. To learn more, click here.
Kansas Grants
Grants for PPE: Businesses that have ordered PPE in Kansas but are experiencing delays due to shipping issues or supply problems can order an emergency supply from the Kansas Department of Emergency Management here. PPE should arrive within a few days at no cost.
Kentucky Grants

Louisiana Grants

Maine Grants
Grants of up to $10,000 for businesses in Portland: Small businesses in Portland, Maine with less than 15 employees can qualify for grants of up to $10,000 from the city. Loans of up to $10,000 are also available, and $5,000 worth of loan funds are forgivable for businesses which rehire their employees. To learn more and apply, click here.
Grants Up to $5,000: Low and moderate-income business owners with five or fewer employees (including themselves) who have experienced revenue loss due to the pandemic can qualify for $5,000 micro-grants from the Maine Small Business Development Center (SBDC). You must meet with an SBDC advisor to apply. You can learn more about the program here.
Massachusetts Grants
Loans for Boston businesses: Businesses located in or moving to the city of Boston can qualify for loans of up to $150,000 from the Boston Local Development Corporation. Loans can be used for everyday expenses, startup capital or other business needs. Learn more and apply here.
Grants for Nantucket businesses: Businesses in Nantucket, Massachusetts can apply for $5000 grants. Grants can be used to adjust for social distancing and contactless ordering and product delivery, marketing and advertising or other business needs. Applications are due March 29th. Maryland Grants
Grants for Hotels and Restaurants: Maryland has dedicated $50 million in grants for hotels and lodging businesses and $30 million in grants for restaurants. The funds will be distributed to jurisdictions throughout the state, so businesses must apply with their local program. Learn more, find your local grant program and apply here.
Michigan Grants
Grants For Entertainment Venues: Entertainment venues in Michigan can receive grants through the state's Stages Survival Grant program, which has $3.5 million in total capital. Applications close January 28th. To apply, click here.
Minnesota Grants
Loans for Native-American Owned Businesses: Businesses owned by federally-recognized Native American bands or tribes in Minnesota can qualify for low-interest loans from the state. Loans can cover equipment, start-up costs for a business, working capital, renovation and more. Learn more and apply here.

Grants of Up to $35,000 for Startups: Minnesota startups working in technology can receive grants of up to $35,000 to reimburse them for their business expenses through the Launch Minnesota grant program. Qualifying expenses can include research and development, business expenses and even technical services. To learn more and apply, click here.
Mississippi Grants
Grants Up to $2,000: Qualifying small businesses in Mississippi with 50 or fewer employees will receive $2,000 in funds from the state. Businesses don’t need to apply; if they are eligible the Department of Revenue will send the funds to their mailing address. You can learn more about which businesses are eligible here. If your business is eligible and you’ve not received a payment, you can follow up with the Department of Revenue.
Missouri Grants
Kansas City Loans for Small Businesses: Small businesses in Kansas City, Missouri can apply for loans from the EDC Loan Fund, which offers low-interest loans for business owners who might not qualify for other financing due to credit scores or other issues. Montana Grants
Grants of Up to $75,000 for Rural Businesses: Rural, agricultural businesses in Montana can qualify for up to $75,000 in financing to pay for expenses like land, livestock or irrigation systems from the Montana Department of Agriculture. Emergency Assistance Grants: Montana has $1.25 billion in funding for business and economic recovery available through the CARES Act, so eligible small businesses can qualify for grants and other assistance. You can learn more about whether your business is eligible and apply here.

Nevada Grants
$10,000 Grants for Businesses in Las Vegas: Businesses in North Las Vegas that have experienced impacts from COVID-19 and have 100 or fewer employees can qualify for a $10,000 grant from the city through the NLVCares program. Learn more and apply here.

New Jersey Grants
Loans of Up to $500,000: Small businesses owned by women and minority groups in New Jersey can qualify for up to $500,000 in working capital loans. Learn more and apply here.
Commercial Rental Assistance: New Jersey has announced $5 Million in rental assistance for small businesses located in various municipalities throughout the state. Applications for the program open February 22. You can learn more about the program and how to apply here.
New Mexico Grants
Loans of up to $500,000: The Loan Fund, a nonprofit in New Mexico, provides loans of up to $500,000 for small businesses based in the state. Business owners must have satisfactory credit to be eligible. To learn more and apply, click here.
New York Grants
New York Low-Interest Loans: Small businesses in New York state can qualify for low-interest loans if they have 50 or fewer employees. Learn more about the program, called the new York Forward Loan Fund, and fill out a pre-application here.

New York City Grants of Up to $10,000: Businesses in New York City with 10 or fewer employees who have experienced a 25% or higher revenue reduction can apply for grants from the Citizens Committee of New York City. Grants will range from $5,000 to $10,000 and will prioritize businesses who haven't been able to access other funding, like the PPP. Learn more and apply here.
North Carolina Grants
Rowan County Grants for Restaurants: Restaurants in Rowan County, N.C. can receive up to $5000 in grants to recoup some of their losses from the pandemic. Applications will be accepted until April 15th. Learn more and apply here.
Durham Low-Interest Loans: Small businesses in Durham County, NC with 50 employees or fewer can apply for loans of up to $35,000 from the county. Learn more and apply here.
North Dakota Grants
Grants of Up to $25,000: Restaurants, bars, breweries, and event spaces in North Dakota can qualify for grants of up to $25,000 through the state's Hospitality Economic Resiliency Grant. The application portal is open through February 25th. Learn more and apply here.
Ohio Grants
Grants for Bars and Restaurants: Bars and restaurants in Ohio can apply for “Microenterprise Grants” from the state to help them cover expenses until it is safe to reopen. The applications are open, although the state warns the portal may crash due to overwhelming interest (if it does, reload and send in your application again). Learn more and apply here.
Cleveland Low-Interest Loans: Businesses in Cleveland, Ohio can apply for up to $100,000 in loans through the Working Capital Loan Program to cover the costs of safely operating during the public health crisis, including coverage of expenses like single-use menus, plastic partitions, PPE and more. Loans for Businesses in Northeast Ohio: Businesses located in Northeast Ohio can qualify for interest-free loans of up to $10,000 from the Hebrew Free Loan Association. To be eligible, your business must be unable to get a loan from a traditional lender. You can learn more and apply here.

Oregon Grants
Grants of Up to $25,00 for Immigrant-Owned Businesses: Small businesses in Oregon that are owned or partially owned by immigrants who utilize an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) can qualify for grants of up to $25,000 from the Oregon Small Enterprise Fund. Businesses who have received PPP loans will not be eligible. Learn more and apply for the program here
Pennsylvania Grants
Low-interest loans through CDFIs: Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs), are small regional banks and organizations that help fund small businesses in their area. Pennsylvania CDFIs have been given $225 million to distribute to small businesses in need. Learn more and find a CDFI near you to apply through here.
Philadelphia Grants Up to $10,000: Certain minority-owned businesses in Chicago, Houston, Atlanta and Philadelphia can apply for $10,000 grants from Comcast through the Comcast RISE program. The application portal opens March 1, but you can learn more about the program and eligibility requirements here.
Rhode Island Grants
Grants for Select Areas: The Rhode Island Department of Commerce has grants called “Microenterprise Stabilization Grants” available in certain areas of the state. See the list of participating towns and how to apply here.
Grants Up to $250,000: Small businesses in Connecticut and Rhode Island can qualify for Community Advantage Grants, an SBA pilot program, for up to $250,000 through the Community Investment Corporation. Learn more and apply here.
South Carolina Grants
Loans of Up to $100,000 for Businesses in Charleston: Businesses in Charleston, South Carolina with less than 25 employees can qualify for loans of up to $100,000 from the city to assist them in dealing with the impacts of the pandemic. Tennessee Grants
Grants of $25,000 for Agricultural Businesses: Specialty crop producers in Tennessee (farmers or small business owners who produce fruit, including dried, vegetables, flowers, or nuts) can apply for grants of up to $25,000 from the Department of Agriculture. Texas Grants
Grants of Up to $1,000: The Texas Black Expo is providing grants of up to $1000 for small businesses in need in Texas. If you're a Texas business owner whose business has been impacted by the pandemic, you can learn more and apply here.
Midland Grants of Up to $10,000: Small businesses in Midland, Texas that have been impacted by the pandemic can apply for $10,000 grants from the city's MicroGrant program. You can learn more and apply here.
Disaster Assistance for Farmers in Texas: Texas' historic winter storms in February heavily impacted farmers. In order to recoup some of their lost income, farmers can apply for disaster assistance from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). You will need detailed records of lost revenue, crops or livestock due to the storm. You can learn more and apply here.
Dallas Grants Up to $4,000 for Arts Businesses: Aurora, an arts festival that takes place in Dallas, has launched a new grant fund for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, or People of Color) artists in North Texas. Applicants will self identify, and successful recipients will receive a $4000 grant as well as business support and mentorship. Learn more and apply here.
Houston Grants Up to $10,000: Certain minority-owned businesses in Chicago, Houston, Atlanta and Philadelphia can apply for $10,000 grants from Comcast through the Comcast RISE program. The application portal opens March 1, but you can learn more about the program and eligibility requirements here.
Utah Grants
Grants for Quarantined Employees: The Utah Department of Labor has grants available to small businesses whose employees are quarantined or self-isolating, to ensure that they can pay them during their quarantine period. Applications close at the end of January; learn more or apply here.
Vermont Grants
Loans of Up to $500,000: Small businesses in Vermont can qualify for up to $500,000 in financing. Learn more and apply here.
Virginia Grants
Grants of $3500 for Virginia Restaurants: The Virginia Restaurant, Lodging and Travel Association is partnering with DoorDash to offer $3500 grants to restaurants in the state that have been impacted by COVID-19. Restaurants must have 50 or fewer employees to qualify. Applications will be accepted until today, March 1, at 5 PM. Learn more and apply here.
Grants of Up to $3,000: Technology entrepreneur Pete Snyder founded the Virginia 30 Day Fund, which provides grants of up to $3000 for small businesses in need in the state. To apply, you'll fill out a quick form and make a short video about your business. Learn more and start the process here.
Washington Grants
$2500 grants: Businesses in Washington State can apply for cash grants of $2500 from the Greater Seattle Business Association through their Ready for Business Grant. Businesses do not need to be in the Seattle area to apply, and in addition to grants, eligible businesses will receive support and mentorship. Applications open March 15th. $240 Million in Grants: Washington Governor Jay Inslee has set aside $240 million to reopen the state's small business loan program for businesses impacted by the pandemic, called the Working Washington loan fund. Applications will open in March, and more information is available here.
West Virginia Grants
Grants of Up to $5,000: Qualifying small businesses in West Virginia can receive up to $5000 in grants to help cover their expenses, as long as they have less than 36 full-time employees and have experienced revenue losses during the crisis. Wisconsin Grants

Washington, DC Grants
Grants for Businesses in Impacted Industries: D.C. has grants available for businesses in the industries most impacted by shelter-in-place, including restaurants, entertainment, retail, or hotels, through the “Bridge Fund” program. Learn more or apply here.
