The Elevate Together Small Business grants, powered by Round It Up America is giving out grants to support Hispanic or Black owned small businesses with 5 or less employees. The non-profit initiative is designed to address systemic discrimination and historical racial disparities in business growth among underserved communities.
 

- Applicant must have 5 or fewer full-time employees
- Applicant must be majority Black or Hispanic-owned business with an active EIN number
- Business must have been in operation for at least 9 months

The investment is meant to help publishers at different phases of growth and will open the door to more money when applicants reach certain benchmarks. The News Startup Fund gives preference to minority founders in order to establish a more equitable media environment where everyone has access to historically informed, culturally relevant content.
