The Toast Changemakers Program, presented in partnership with Hello Alice and GEN, is designed to recognize and support restaurants making a difference in their communities by addressing food insecurity. Fifteen restaurant owners will each receive a $10,000 grant to expand or enhance their existing community programs dedicated to fighting hunger.
Here’s how it works:
- Open to for-profit restaurants, cafés, or food service businesses registered and located in the 50 United States, D.C., or Puerto Rico
- Applicant must be the leading executive of the business
- Applicant must be a legal resident of the 50 U.S. states, D.C., or Puerto Rico, and at least 18 years old (19 in AL and NE)
Business must:
- Have an existing, active effort addressing food insecurity in the community
- Own no more than 15 locations and employ fewer than 50 people per location
- Have been in operation for at least 6 months
- Have revenues of $3M or less per location in 2024
- Be independently owned
- Applicants must show a clear plan to expand or enhance their food insecurity initiatives with the grant funding
Grant Amount: $10,000 each (15 total recipients)
