The Founder's First organinzation is giving 25 $1,000 grants to Veteran Owned Small Businesses Here's how this program works:
 

- Eligibility: Must be a U.S. military veteran, must be a CEO, President, or Business Owner of a US based business, business annual revenue does not exceed $5M, and you must have between 2 to 50 employees

The investment is meant to help publishers at different phases of growth and will open the door to more money when applicants reach certain benchmarks. The News Startup Fund gives preference to minority founders in order to establish a more equitable media environment where everyone has access to historically informed, culturally relevant content.
