We sell smilax bags by weight, which can vary. A full bag weighs approximately 12–14 lbs and contains around 100 linear feet of vine, covering roughly 100 sq ft. A half bag weighs about 6–8 lbs, contains about 50 linear feet of vine, and covers about 50 sq ft.

**What is the guidance for "safe buffer" when planning big installations?**

For large installations or when extra fullness is desired, we recommend adding 1 extra half bag as a safe buffer. This is an optional recommendation, not a requirement.
