Homework Help
Homework Help provides students with guided support to complete school assignments accurately and with greater independence. Instead of simply giving answers, the tutor reviews directions, explains difficult concepts, models strategies, checks for understanding, and helps students correct mistakes. Support may include reading, math, writing, studying, organization, test preparation, and long-term assignments. At TBHS, Homework Help is available as an add-on for tutoring sessions lasting at least two hours. When selected, up to one hour of the scheduled session may be used for current homework or school assignments, with the remaining time used for direct tutoring, intervention, remediation, or skill-building.

Social Emotional Learning (SEL)
Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) helps students develop the skills needed to understand and manage emotions, build confidence, make responsible decisions, develop positive relationships, and handle challenges more effectively. At TBHS, SEL may include activities that strengthen self-awareness, self-control, communication, problem-solving, goal-setting, coping skills, respect, empathy, and conflict resolution. Students are encouraged to recognize their emotions, express themselves appropriately, and practice strategies for managing frustration, stress, and academic challenges. SEL is especially valuable for students who may become discouraged, anxious, overwhelmed, or frustrated when learning becomes difficult. By strengthening emotional and social skills alongside academics, we help students become more confident, resilient, focused, and prepared to succeed in school and everyday life.
