Homework Help
Homework Help provides students with guided support to complete school assignments accurately and with greater independence. Instead of simply giving answers, the tutor reviews directions, explains difficult concepts, models strategies, checks for understanding, and helps students correct mistakes. Support may include reading, math, writing, studying, organization, test preparation, and long-term assignments. At TBHS, Homework Help is available as an add-on for tutoring sessions lasting at least two hours. When selected, up to one hour of the scheduled session may be used for current homework or school assignments, with the remaining time used for direct tutoring, intervention, remediation, or skill-building.

Academic Help (Math, ELA, Science, Social Studies, Study Skill, and Test Preparation))
Academic Help provides students with targeted support to strengthen the skills they need for greater success in school. Services may include reading, math, writing, science, social studies, study skills, test preparation, and support with difficult classroom concepts. At TBHS, Academic Help is designed around each student’s individual needs. Tutors identify skill gaps, reteach concepts in smaller and more manageable steps, model strategies, provide guided practice, and check for understanding. Students receive additional time and repetition so they can build stronger foundational skills and apply what they learn more independently. The goal of Academic Help is not only to improve grades, but also to strengthen understanding, confidence, problem-solving, organization, and independent learning skills. Students are supported in becoming more prepared, capable, and successful in the classroom and beyond.
