The concept of Jaeigh Gallagher Records was envisioned on February 22, 2025, and it was officially established on October 1, 2025.

Auditions for Supernova closed on January 2, 2026. The final group members were chosen through Planet Supernova: The Academy audition and boot camp process. Public performance evaluations were available on YouTube and socials, with fan voting on the JGR website and final voting on Patreon.
