**What is an advocate and how can they help me?**

An advocate is someone who stands with you and speaks up for your needs, especially when things feel confusing, overwhelming, or intimidating. We can listen and help you sort out what you need, explain processes in plain language, help you prepare for appointments or court-related steps, connect you to resources, and reduce overwhelm by breaking things into doable next steps.

**What's the best thing that an advocate does?**

The best thing we do is help you feel less alone and more in control. We make sure you feel heard, supported, and empowered, and we help turn stress and confusion into a clear plan you can follow.

**Can you help with paperwork, like family court forms or restraining orders?**

Yes, helping with paperwork is something we definitely do. We can help you fill it out accurately, organize supporting information, and in many cases, we can also help file it for you. We’ll confirm the paperwork type, deadlines, and what the court’s filing process requires.

**Can you speak for me?**

In most cases, yes, we can speak or advocate on your behalf, but not always. It depends on the situation, the setting (including court rules), and permissions/authorizations required. If you tell us what you’re navigating, we’ll let you know what’s possible and the best next steps.

**How do I book an intake and what happens after?**

You can book an intake at https://luv2advocate-1.skipsites.com. After booking, you will be asked to complete the intake form. We collect only what's necessary and are sensitive to your privacy. Once we've received your intake form, we'll follow up with timely, personalized support. If you can't use forms, we can also arrange a phone call.
