**What is the unique approach of Wonderwood Village to child education?**

We blend the principles of Forest School, Acton Academy, and Montessori to create a learner-driven environment. Our approach emphasizes outdoor play, mastery-based academics, and real-world entrepreneurship and life skills programs. Our mission is to ignite a fire within every individual, helping them discover purpose and equipping them to revolutionize their world through learning in nature and community.

**What age group does Wonderwood Village cater to?**

We welcome children aged 3 to 12 years. Our programs are designed to nurture curiosity, promote a love for nature, and build real-world skills in an outdoor setting. Our school environment encourages children to become confident and focused learners.

**How can parents get involved in the Wonderwood Village community?**

We believe in deep parent involvement and offer community events and parent workshops. We also encourage parents to participate in our unique outdoor micro-school environment and learner-driven education model. This not only strengthens the bond between parents and their children but also fosters a strong sense of community.

**How can one schedule a tour of Wonderwood Village?**

We encourage families interested in our unique learning model to schedule a tour via our website at https://wonderwoodvillage.org. This provides an opportunity to experience our unique environment and meet our dedicated staff.

**What is the geographical area that Wonderwood Village serves?**

We are based in Crossville, TN (38555) and serve families across the Cumberland Plateau and beyond. Our offerings are primarily in-person, on-campus experiences. We welcome families seeking a hands-on, nature-based, learner-driven education for their children.

I offer consultations for educators and school founders who want to build learner-driven, nature-immersed learning communities. At Wonderwood Village, I blend Acton Academy’s studio model (agency, mastery, Socratic facilitation, real-world projects, entrepreneurship) with Forest School principles (outdoor immersion, child-led exploration, resilience, safe risk-taking, and nervous system regulation). I help you turn big philosophy into daily practice: studio rhythms and expectations, culture and accountability without punishments, guide coaching and staff training, admissions and family alignment, and clear messaging that attracts right-fit families. Sessions are practical, values-aligned, and designed to leave you with an implementable plan—whether you’re launching a microschool, redesigning a program, or simply trying to bring more agency and outdoor learning into what you already do.

Investments starting at $50 an hour.
