How does the Skip Affiliate Program work?
As a Skip user, you'll have a unique referral code and link available on your Skip Dashboard under "Refer & Earn"
When someone signs up for Skip* with your referral link or code, you'll get an email like below saying they've signed up. You'll also earn a $5 credit** that you can redeem for Skip services, such as the Skip Plus membership or Skip VIP membership. Learn more about memberships on our memberships page.
*Must be a valid, new Skip user **Credits have no value outside of Skip, such as for gift cards or cash. They can only be redeemed for Skip services, subject to terms and conditions.
When do I earn the $20 for referring someone to Skip Plus?
When someone signs up to start a free Skip Plus trial, you'll (coming soon) get an email notifying you that this user started a paid trial.
When the user's free trial ends and they become an active member, you'll receive an email like below. Then and only then are you eligible for a $20 payout for this referral. Payouts at the moment are only available via ACH bank transfer, which can take 2-3 days to set up e-payment.
Where can I track all of this?
You can now track all of your credits and earnings on the Refer and Earn tab on your Skip Dashboard.
Do credits have cash value?
No. They can only be redeemed for Skip memberships or Skip services.
How can I redeem credits?
You can redeem credits on the Refer and Earn dashboard. Click the Redeem Credits button to email us and let us know how you'd like to redeem.
How can I request a payout?
When you see a current earnings value on your dashboard you can request a payout. To prevent fraudulent activity on payouts, payouts are manually reviewed and processed usually within 2-3 business days from the Skip team.
How do payouts work?
Once you request a payout and we review to make sure that you're approved as an affiliate and that you referrals are valid, you'll be invited to bill.com to set up your e-payment to your bank account. Once your e-payment is setup, payments are typically processed within 2-3 business days.
Do I need to be approved to get paid?
Yes. You're not officially an affiliate (which means you can get paid from Skip) until you've been onboarded and approved. In the meantime, you are still able to share your referral link and spread the word about Skip. You won't be able to receive payouts until you're approved as a Skip affiliate. Fill out your details here if you haven't yet.
Are there any other ways I can share grants or fundings directly?
Yes. On every funding on the web (not the app yet) there's a Share button. Click the Share button and then the Copy Link button. This link is tracked back to your account in the same way as explained above.
