How To Join a Skip Cohort
Joining Through A Cohort Invite
- If a Cohort Leader has invited you to join their cohort, click the link to join
- Once you've joined you'll get an email confirmation
- On your Account Details page you'll also be able to see your cohort status
Joining By Request
If you don't have an invite link from a Cohort Leader, you can request to join an existing cohort by emailing cohort@helloskip.com
How Skip Cohorts Work
At its core, Skip Cohorts is about keeping you on track and accountable to grant and funding applications. 80% of entrepreneurs who express interest in funding never finish applying.
With Cohorts, Skip allows to have an accountability partner. This may be someone you're working with for other small business help (think coaching, courses, 1-1 calls, or more). Or this could just be someone in your community that you trust.
Once you join, the Cohort Leader can view which fundings your tracking and what your status is on those fundings. They can also see whether you're a Skip member or not.
Skip Cohort Leaders cannot see answers to your application questions or personal information about your or your business beyond your name, your business name, and your email address.
What to Expect From Your Skip Cohort?
Every cohort is different so get in touch with the person who's cohort you've joined. Some Cohort Leaders will send you weekly accountability emails, some will remind you to finish applying if you have upcoming deadlines, and some will want you to be using Skip for funding applications as a tool to help your business.
Who Can Become a Skip Cohort Leader?
Any entrepreneur or small business owner can apply to become a cohort leader. This is currently tied to the Skip Affiliate program. If you're an approved affiliate, you can become a cohort leader. Here's information on the Affiliate Program.
How To Remove Yourself from a Skip Cohort?
To remove yourself from a cohort, please email Skip at cohort@helloskip.com and we can remove you from your cohort. If you're in more than one cohort, please specify which cohort you'd like to be removed from.
