Here's what you'll need to get your New Jersey license:
- Completed Auto Permit Application (Form BA-412C)
- Completed Auto License Application (Form BA-208)
- Proof of identity: 6-Point ID requirements
- Proof of U.S. citizenship OR legal presence in U.S
- Payment for required fees: $10 for Examination Permit fee, $4 for reflective license plate decals, $6 for probationary license fee, Pro-rated upgrade fee for Class D license
Here's what you'll need to do to get your New Jersey license:
- Visit any DMV Office near you to apply in person and provide the required documents.
- Take and pass the vision and written test to be issued a Learner's permit. (Read the New Jersey Driver Manual and take written practice tests).
