Looking for help to start your own business? Want to expand an existing business and need resources to do so? The CWE’s StartHER Grant Program helps women business owners—current or aspiring—to undertake new and innovative projects. Winning business owners will receive a $5,000 grant. Here's how this program works:

• Existing or to-be-formed woman-owned businesses (at least 51% directly owned and controlled by one or more women who are U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents) with five or fewer employees
• The business must be for-profit and located and operated within the state of Texas
• Business must be five years or less (formed after 10/4/2019 - current)
• Must be up to date on all taxes
• Business owner(s), must not have any felonies or conviction of a crime of dishonesty or breach of trust nor be involved in any current litigation
• Apply by October 24, 2024
