Small Business, Big Dreams: Women in Business Challenge

October is National Women’s Small Business Month and BankUnited is recognizing women-owned small businesses. If you’re a woman business owner in Florida or New York, they invite you to enter the contest by completing the online application form and submitting a 3-minute video telling them about your business and how your business would benefit from $15,000. Here's how this program works:

• Must be a privately-owned for-profit business
• Must be based in either the state of Florida or New York
• Must be at least 51% owned and controlled by a woman or women who manage the day-to-day operations and make long-term decisions
• Must be active, operating and in good standing (must not be under bankruptcy protection or have judicial liens or attachments)
• Must have an annual revenue of no more than $3,000,000 for each of the previous two fiscal years (2021 and 2022)
• Must have no more than 20 full-time employees on its payroll
• Apply by September 15, 2023
