By using or accessing the Services in any manner, you acknowledge that you accept the practices and policies outlined in this Privacy Policy, and you consent that we will collect, use, and share your information as described below.

Remember that your use of Skip’s Services is at all times subject to our Terms of Use, which incorporate this Privacy Policy. Any capitalized terms used here but not defined have the meanings given in the Terms of Use.

What does this Privacy Policy cover?

This Privacy Policy covers our treatment of personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) that we gather when you access or use our Services. It does not apply to the practices of companies we do not own or control, or people we do not manage.

We gather various types of Personal Information, as described below. We use this information to provide, personalize, and improve our Services; to allow you to set up and maintain an account; to operate our AI Services; to support business listings and payment tools; to fulfill your requests; and to analyze usage.

As noted in the Terms of Use, we do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13 or from individuals residing outside of the United States. If you are under 13 or reside outside the United States, please do not attempt to register or send Personal Information to us. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it as quickly as possible.

Will Skip ever change this Privacy Policy?

We’re constantly working to improve our Services, so we may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by placing a notice on our website, by sending you an email, and/or by other reasonable means.

If you use the Services after changes have been posted, you agree to all such changes.

What Information does Skip Collect?

Information You Provide to Us

We receive and store any information you knowingly provide. For example, when you register for an account or update your profile, we may collect information including:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Street address or zip code
  • Date of birth
  • Business information
  • Uploaded documents or images
  • Authentication tokens or account identifiers necessary to connect third-party services at your request
  • Any information submitted through forms, chats, or application flows

AI Features and Third-Party AI Processing

When you use Skip’s AI-powered features (“AI Services”), including AI Cofounder, AI Agents, document creation tools, or grant-answer tools:

AI Input includes text, content, business information, uploads, or instructions you voluntarily submit.

AI Output includes responses, text, documents, summaries, recommendations, or other generated material.

Third-Party AI Processing

To generate AI responses, we transmit certain data to OpenAI, our third-party AI service provider.

Data transmitted may include:
• The text you enter into AI features
• Relevant business profile information stored in your Skip account (such as business name, category, and related settings)

We do not transmit your email address, phone number, payment information, or government identification information to OpenAI.

OpenAI processes this data solely to generate responses on our behalf and does not use this data to train public AI models.

We transmit only the minimum information necessary to generate responses.

Users must provide consent before using AI features that require transmission of data to OpenAI. We obtain your explicit consent before transmitting Personal Information to third-party AI providers.

AI Training Opt-Out

We use AI Input and Output to provide and improve the Services (for example, to maintain continuity, troubleshoot issues, and improve product performance). We do not use your AI Input and Output to train our proprietary AI models at this time. If we change this in the future, we will provide notice and, where required, choices.

You may opt out of the use of your Material for training our models by contacting us at support@helloskip.com.

Even if you opt out, we may still use Material:

  • For fraud and abuse detection
  • For security and safety review
  • To comply with law
  • When you explicitly provide feedback on Output

If you create a business listing, add products or services, publish a profile, or use Skip payment links, we collect and store:

  • Business name and details
  • Product/service information
  • Pricing and availability
  • Payment link metadata
  • Listing views, likes, click activity
  • Social media or website links you provide

Communications

If you provide us with your phone number or email address, we may use it to contact you regarding:

  • Your account
  • Product features
  • Grant opportunities
  • Payments
  • AI recommendations
  • SMS notifications

Even if you opt out of marketing emails, we may still send you service-related or legal notices (for example, account, security, billing, or policy updates).

Information Collected Automatically

Whenever you interact with the Services, we automatically receive technical and usage information, including:

  • IP address
  • Device ID and device type
  • Browser type
  • Approximate geolocation data derived from IP address
  • Cookies and tracking identifiers
  • Pages or features accessed
  • AI interaction logs (including timestamps and feature usage)
  • Business listing activity
  • Payment link activity
  • Diagnostics, crash logs, and performance data

We use this information to improve the Services, customize content, power your AI recommendations, and maintain security.

Information From Other Sites and Do Not Track

If you enable Do Not Track in your browser, we stop collecting information from third-party cookie sources used to customize ads or content.

We cannot control how third parties respond to Do Not Track signals.

Will Skip Share Any of the Personal Information it Receives?

We do not sell your Personal Information to third parties. We may share Personal Information only in the circumstances described below.

Information That’s Been De-Identified

We may de-identify Personal Information and share aggregated or anonymized data with partners for analysis, research, or product improvement.

Advertisers

We may share aggregated or de-identified information with partners to measure performance, analyze trends, and improve the Services. We do not share Personal Information with advertisers for their own independent marketing purposes.

Affiliated Businesses

We may share information as needed when you use services integrated with our partners or affiliates. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties or affiliates.

Agents and Service Providers

We employ third-party vendors to perform tasks on our behalf, such as:

  • Payment processing (e.g., Stripe)
  • Hosting
  • Customer support
  • Analytics
  • AI model providers, including OpenAI, solely to generate Output or perform actions you request. These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually restricted from using your Personal Information for their own independent purposes.

These agents may only use Personal Information as necessary to perform their functions.

All third-party service providers are contractually required to maintain the confidentiality, security, and protection of Personal Information consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable law. They may not use your Personal Information for their own independent marketing or commercial purposes.

User Profiles and Public Content

Any information you choose to make public on your business listing, profile, or posts may be available to anyone.

Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, Personal Information may be transferred as part of the transaction.

Protection of Skip and Others

We may access, preserve, or disclose information if we believe it is necessary to:

  • Comply with law
  • Enforce our Terms
  • Protect Skip’s rights, property, or safety
  • Protect users or the public

Is Personal Information About Me Secure?

Your account is protected by your password. You must prevent unauthorized access by safeguarding your login credentials.

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your data, but no system is completely secure.

What Personal Information Can I Access?

Through your account settings, you may view, update, or delete:

  • Name
  • Contact information
  • Business information
  • Uploaded images
  • Profile details
  • Certain AI inputs or documents

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings within the app. If you need assistance, you may also contact support@helloskip.com.

Some information may remain in backup or aggregated form after deletion.

What Choices Do I Have?

You may:

  • Opt not to provide information (some features may not work)
  • Update or delete certain data through your account
  • Request deletion of your account
  • Opt out of marketing emails
  • Opt out of SMS by texting STOP
  • Opt out of AI training

AI Consent

Before using certain AI features, you will be presented with a disclosure explaining what data is transmitted to our AI provider and must provide consent before the feature can be used. You may stop using AI features at any time.

You may withdraw consent to data collection or processing where applicable by adjusting your account settings within the app or by contacting support@helloskip.com. Withdrawing consent may limit or disable certain features of the Services.

Data Retention

We retain Personal Information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services described in this Privacy Policy.

If you delete your account:

• Active account data will be deleted or anonymized within 30 days of confirmed deletion.
• Backup data may be retained for up to 90 days.
• Transaction and payment records may be retained as required by law, accounting rules, or regulatory requirements.
• De-identified or aggregated data may be retained for analytics, security, and product improvement purposes.

We retain AI interaction logs only as long as necessary to provide AI functionality, maintain continuity of service, detect fraud or abuse, ensure security, and improve product performance.
