    What is the Skip AI Agent?

    This is not just another chatbot. Skip’s AI Agent is trained on your business information and an LLM so it can answer questions and provide contextually relevant information about your business, services, and products. Think of it as your 24/7 business partner, working while you’re focused on other parts of your business. As of September 2025, it’s available to select Skip users in early access.

    How can I use the Agent effectively?

    Follow the steps below to set it up, then test it yourself and make adjustments. Your Agent is a living representation of your business — as products, prices, policies, or style change, it should be updated to reflect those changes.

    How to set up your Skip AI Agent?

    There are three steps:

    • Set up your agent (about 2-3 minutes)
    • Test and edit as needed
    • Embed your agent and monitor inquiries

    Setting Up Agent

    On the Skip Public Listing page, click Create Business Agent (you'll need to have your public listing created first).

    You’ll then be prompted to add information about your business — think of it as a mini FAQ. This includes:

    • What you sell
    • Links to products or services
    • Information about your business
    • Answers to frequently asked questions

    Pro tip: You can select and copy text from your website or paste in existing FAQ content to speed up the process.

    Once you’ve added information, you can either go through the prompts to fill in any gaps or type "Complete my agent" to save it.

    What is the Agent Prompt?
    At its core, your Agent is a prompt containing your business information. It uses AI/LLM to answer questions and make suggestions for visitors in context.

    Testing and editing Skip AI Agent

    After your Agent is created, go to your Public Listing page. Hover over your card and click View AI Agent to preview it.

    As you test it, ask yourself:

    • Does it answer the most important questions about my business?
    • Does it convey the right tone and message?
    • Are the calls to action and links correct?
    • What changes would improve the visitor experience?

    To make edits, click the three dots on your listing, then Edit Agent. Add or update information as needed.

    Examples of possible edits:

    • Adjust tone (more formal, less formal, more concise)
    • Correct pricing or update links, including payment links

    Embedding on Website and Seeing Inquiries

    From the three-dot menu on your listing, copy your embed code and add it to your site. We have guides for Skip websites, Wix, WordPress, Shopify, and others.

    To see inquiries from people who use your Agent, go to the Inquiries tab in Cofounder. Note: Email notifications for new inquiries will be available soon.

    Improving your Agent and getting expert help

    Skip’s AI Agents are in early access. If you have access, we highly recommend trying it and making adjustments. Our team is continuously improving the product, and much of that comes from user feedback.
