How Skip Cohorts Work

At its core, Skip Cohorts is about helping entrepreneurs stay on track and accountable for grant and funding applications. 80% of entrepreneurs who express interest in funding never finish applying.

When someone joins your cohort, you can:

• View their name, business name and email
• View their Skip join date, membership status
• View which fundings they're currently tracking, including the funding status and which fundings are due soon
• Email the person to remind them about due dates or new funding opportunities
• Email the person to help them as part of your broader arrangement with them

As a Skip Cohort Leader, you cannot see their personal information or business information beyond their name, business name, and email. You can also not see answers to their grant or funding application questions.

What Should YOU Do For Your Skip Cohort?

The million dollar question. The short answer is, it's up to you! What expectation have you set and what do you want to do to help your community? Here are some examples:

• If you currently work with entrepreneurs or clients as part of a coaching or course program, invite them as part of their enrollment or paid membership to join your cohort. They'll see this as a great benefit that YOU and your team can see where they're at in terms of funding applications.
• Encourage people who join your Cohort to become Skip Plus members. This will give them access to automatic reminders, to save you from doing this, and it will also give them access to Skip AI tools, such as Write With AI or Give Me Application Feedback. You also get paid from Skip when they become a member.
• Check in on upcoming deadlines and send personal reminders from your My Cohort page. It's easy to sort by due soon, see what fundings are due soon for a person, and email them. You can consider them needing to be a Plus member to get this or a separate service arrangement that you make with them directly.

How To Invite Someone To Your Skip Cohort?

On your My Cohort page, copy the share link. Others can use this link to join your cohort. Once they join, you'll be able to see their information and any fundings they're are tracking.

Who Can Become a Skip Cohort Leader?

Currently anyone who is approved as a Skip Affiliate can become a Skip Cohort leader by simply inviting folks to their cohort using their personalized link.

How Can I Remove Someone from My Cohort?

To remove someone from your cohort, please email Skip at cohort@helloskip.com with the users name and email and a brief explanation why you'd like to remove them.
