What are the American Express Small Business Grants?
The Amex Shop Small Grants Program is a national grant initiative launched by American Express in partnership with Main Street America to support small businesses that strengthen local communities. The program provides $20,000 grants to eligible brick-and-mortar businesses across the United States, with additional grant funding supported by Shop Small purchases made by American Express Card Members.
What are the requirements?
Applicants must be small business owners aged 18 or older and located in one of the 50 U.S. states or Washington, D.C. Eligible businesses must operate a physical, brick-and-mortar storefront that has been open at its current location since January 1, 2025, and employ 20 or fewer full-time employees. Applicants must complete and submit the application during the open application period to be considered.
